Sheep Feed Rack

This leaflet gives details for building a portable feed rack, for silage, baled or loose hay. The unit is 900 mm (2 ft) wide, by 2400 mm (8 ft) long, designed to feed from both sides. Solid end and bottom panels of exterior plywood or aspen flakeboard give rigidity and keep the feed high and dry. Vertical plywood spacers along the sides help keep feed inside the feeder, reducing waste. The unit is designed to be cut with minimum waste from 2 standard sheets of plywood or aspen flakeboard.
