Plan 2503Milking Parlour Bonding to Prevent Tingle Voltage
"Tingle" voltages are stray voltages felt by cows or operators in a milking parlour. They can happen even when the wiring satisfies the electrical code, and all bonding is properly connected and intact. This plan outlines the method now used in numerous parlours in British Columbia. Within 3 weeks of the completion of the first modification, mastitis had decreased drastically and the cows exhibited a general increase in overall well-being and contentment, in addition to an increase in production.
